Nike scores Vancouver’s biggest OOH coup

One big race. One big marketer. One really big ad... for Vancouver.

Vancouver-based out-of-home agency Brand Aid Media reports that it has launched the single largest posting ever completed in that market. The installation covers the side of an office building and reads: ‘One Day. Ten Million Kilometers. Race the World.’

The ad is part of the Nike campaign developed by Cossette Toronto to promote the global ‘Human Race’ initiative, taking place in Vancouver on August 31. The Cossette and Brand Aid Media’s previous Nike work, including the Nike Barge, won several awards including an OBIE.

The Nike+ Human Race offers runners across the globe the chance to compete together on the same day. The 10k event will span multiple continents and cover 25 cities, including New York, London, Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, Melbourne, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. The goal for participation is one million runners worldwide. Canadian runners not located in Vancouver can participate in their hometowns by registering at nikeplus.com.
