The monthly magazine Canadian Living is launching a guide to healthy living that will hit newsstands across the country on July 28.
Canadian Living EAT RIGHT: Your Guide to Good Health will have a significantly longer shelf life than an average magazine. It’s expected to remain on sale in-store and online for six months, and may be published once yearly in future, although that sked has yet to be firmed up. Some 90,000 copies of the first, 124-page, bookazine will be printed.
The inside front and back covers contain large ads for, respectively, Minute Maid and McDonald’s.
To promote the launch, print ads will appear in fall issues of Canadian Living EAT RIGHT. There will also be in-store cover posters and ads in such news chains as Great Canadian News. Shoppers Drug Mart will promote the bookazine in its September flyer with the offer of a free Shoppers eco-bag for each purchase of Canadian Living EAT RIGHT.
Both the creative and media buys for the bookazine launch were done in-house at Transcontinental, owner of Canadian Living.
