Beginning on September 21, the Ceeb will open a window into one of the world’s up-and-coming countries with India Reborn. The two-part series features four hours of HD television, each offering a different perspective into the lives of those living through India’s transformation into one of the world’s superpowers.
The first two-hour segment of the series airs on Sunday, September 21 at 8 pm ET (8:30 pm NT). Its first hour, titled ‘Myth and Might,’ introduces viewers to India with an overview of its diversity – exploring the myths surrounding the country as well as its growing economic prowess.
The second hour, titled ‘Manufacturing Dreams’ takes a look at how India’s new culture of excess mixes with old-world values by profiling three people that are right in the thick of it.
Part two of India Reborn follows on Monday, September 22 at 8pm ET (8:30 pm NT). ‘India on the Move,’ the first hour of the second segment, studies India’s climb up the global economic and political ladder with a contrasting look at those who have experienced financial success and farmers who continually live in debt and despair.
‘Mother India,’ the final hour, concludes the series by examining the collision of modernity and tradition with a look at how food – a main component to Indian culture – unites and divides modern India.
