So You Think You Can Dance dominates Wednesday, Thursday

The Olympics got underway with a weekend sweep, claiming the top spots on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Wondering who the prime-time winners were this week?

Here are the national champs (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Aug. 4 – Aug. 10, 2008.

Monday: CTV’s Canadian Idol at 9 pm stayed on top on Monday night with 1.189 million viewers (up from 984,000 on last week’s national chart).

Tuesday: CTV’s Canadian Idol was also number one on Tuesday at 8 pm, raking in 1.229 million viewers (replacing Global’s Wipeout from the previous week).

Wednesday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance at 8 pm won the night again with 1.541 million viewers (up from 1.449 million last week).

Thursday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance stayed on top on Thursday too, pulling in 1.919 million viewers (up from 1.462 million the previous week).

Friday: The Olympics on CBC at 6 pm took the top spot on Friday, attracting an AMA of 1.165 million viewers.

Saturday: The Olympics on CBC at 6 pm took top honours on Saturday as well, again with 1.165 million viewers.

Sunday: And, completing a weekend sweep, the Olympics on CBC at 6 pm took top spot on Sunday with 1.165 million viewers.
