CTV and TSN covering 2008 NFL

Two of CTVglobemedia's nets are now broadcasting NFL games and offering some exclusive Canadian coverage.

CTVglobemedia networks CTV and TSN have teamed up to deliver coverage of the entire 2008 NFL season. CTV is providing exclusive Canadian coverage of the NFL regular season Sunday early-afternoon game package (1 pm ET), all playoff games and the Super Bowl.

All of CTV’s regular season NFL match-ups are followed by a post-game edition of SportsCentre hosted by Jay Onrait.

TSN is airing 43 NFL games this season, with exclusive Canadian coverage of Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football, as well as the Thursday and Saturday broadcast package.

Also included in TSN’s NFL lineup are the preview and wrap-up shows Sunday NFL Countdown, Football Night in America, NFL Primetime and Monday Night Countdown, as well as the NFL Draft and segments on SportsCentre and www.tsn.ca.

Retired NFL and Canadian Football League player Chris Schultz has returned to tsn.ca with his online column Schultz Against the World, in which viewers pick the winner of each game. Sports commentator and former American football quarterback Jesse Palmer is also writing a weekly column on tsn.ca.

Last year, CTV and RDS had a combined audience for the Super Bowl in Canada of five million viewers. TSN is available in nine million households.
