Toronto-based Toscano Gourmet Pizza is creating buzz on 14 GO train stations across the GTA, thanks to a recently launched sampling program, with media handled by Toronto-based Capital C. The full-size frozen pizza giveaways to an expected 40,000 rush-hour riders run until Dec. 4.
Toscano reps are distributing brochures to morning commuters as part of the campaign to help raise awareness on the newish pizza brand, following last month’s outdoor 3D chalk art promo with UK’s Julian Beever, when 11,000 pizzas were sampled. The event was also covered by the Toronto Sun, the National Post and the Toronto Star.
‘The GO location is perfect to reach the target demo – busy and hungry parents – at a time when they are thinking about dinner,’ says Jennifer Dowton, group account director at Capital C.
More promotional work will roll out in the new year.
