Gravity set to launch

The two-hour premiere will air on three networks, before moving to its regular simulcast slot the following week.

ABC, CTV and its A stations will line up early next month for the premiere of Defying Gravity – launching the sci-fi series with a simulcast on Aug. 2.

The Sunday 9 pm slot will see the two-hour premiere air on all three networks, before moving to its regular simulcast slot the following week at 10 pm.

The scheduling comes just a week after the Vancouver-shot series was picked up by the U.S. network. Defying Gravity shot its first 13 x 60 run earlier this year in BC, a co-venture of Omni Film Productions and Fox Television Studios.

The series is also expected to run on CTVgm-owned Space, though that date and slot has not yet been announced.
