Canwest Broadcasting yesterday announced the appointment of Brad Kubota to VP Global BC sales, a role that he will take on starting this September. Kubota replaces Ruth Powell, who is retiring from Global BC after almost two decades.

The announcement marks the return of Kubota to Canwest where he most recently held the role of VP local sales. Last March, Kubota jumped ship to Canwest’s rival CTV, where he was appointed VP sales for CTV conventional television.

Kubota will again live and work in Vancouver, where he previously held the position of VP and GM of revenue management national sales and revenue manager of Canwest’s Western Operations from 2001 to 2003.
