Sears bests TO radio buy: Media Monitors radio rankings, Dec. 21 to 27, 2009

Department store chain stays atop the pre-Christmas media buys on Toronto radio while perennial big spender AlarmForce reigns in Montreal.

There were some familiar faces atop the Media Monitors radio rankings lists for the week of Dec. 21 to 27, with gift-friendly retailers making the biggest buys in Toronto and Montreal.

Sears stayed atop the Toronto radio spending list at #1, followed by The Home Depot in #2 and The Bay in #3. Rounding out the top five were Future Shop at #4 and Walmart at #5. Big movers on the list included The Source from #64 to #9 and Corona from #25 to #6.

In Montreal, the top of the list remained the same with AlarmForce at #1, while self-improvement retailer Stop Centres rose to #2 from #7 and Pharmaprix rose from #6 to #3. Rounding out the top five were The Brick at #4 and Dormez-Vous at #5.
