CTV’s Human Target bows to big audience

Over a million tune into the Friday-night series premiere, marking a successful mid-season debut for the network.

CTV’s Human Target made a splash last Friday night for its premiere, bringing in 1.26 million viewers and ranking it as the number-one program of the day.

Based on a concept from a comic book and graphic novel of the same name, the new series stars Mark Valley (Fringe) as Christopher Chance, a bodyguard who literally becomes a human target for his clients.

The hour-long show premiered on Friday, Jan. 15, and switched to Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET for episode two, where it will stay for the remainder of its schedule. It will air again tonight at 9 p.m. on CTV, following American Idol.

Human Target went up against Global’s NUMB3RS on Friday and won the time slot, with viewers growing from the first half of the show to the second.

Human Target is also available on CTV.ca.
