House rained on the parade of CTV comedies Hiccups and Dan for Mayor, which both saw a drop in audiences Monday up against a new episode of Global’s hit medical drama.
House delivered 2.9 million viewers for the episode entitled ‘Private Lives’ at 8 p.m., its strongest episode of the winter season, according to Global. Hiccups and Dan each averaged 1.1 million viewer – not bad, considering the competition. (All numbers 2+.)
The comedies came out strong last week, each garnering 1.9 million viewers after a hefty promotional campaign during the Winter Olympics. Hiccups and Dan outplayed CBC’s 18 to Life (385,000) and Little Mosque on the Prairie (380,000).
CTV’s comedy block bounced back at 9 p.m., with Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory scoring 2.1 and 2.2 million viewers respectively.
