VisionTV has picked up Kingdom, adding the British comic drama to its Wednesday night lineup as of April 21.
The series, which stars UK multi-talent Stephen Fry, aired for three seasons on ITV. It features Fry – best known to many for his days with Hugh Laurie on Jeeves and Wooster – as a lawyer in a small seaside town, by day tending to divorces and wills, by night struggling to cope with his unstable sister, played by Hermione Norris.
The series made 18 episodes in all, averaging a reported six million viewers per week during its first cycle. It was cancelled last year.
Fry has described it as ‘comfort television.’
‘With Kingdom, there is a familiarity and you can feel at home with the characters in it – and then they can surprise you,’ he said upon accepting a National Television Award earlier this year.
Kingdom will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
