Survivor keeps ratings lead over CSI

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains on Global and CTV's CSI battled it out again on Thursday night, but the reality series prevailed with 2.911 million viewers.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for April 6 to April 11, 2010.

Monday: Dancing With the Stars on A at 8 p.m. takes back the top spot from CTV’s The Big Bang Theory with 1.742 million viewers. (The Big Bang Theory had 2.081 million viewers as the top program the previous week.)

Tuesday: American Idol performance show on CTV at 8 p.m. was most watched again with 2.558 million viewers. (Idol had a similar audience size the previous week with 2.258 million viewers.)

Wednesday: American Idol results show on CTV at 9 p.m. attracted 2.684 million viewers as the finalists were narrowed down to the final eight. (Idol results show had 2.355 million viewers as the top program the previous week.)

Thursday: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains on Global at 8 p.m. went neck-and-neck with CTV’s CSI but won the top spot of the week with 2.911 million viewers. CSI, which airs at 9 p.m., had 2.780 million viewers as the second most-watched program of the week. (Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains on Global at 9 p.m. had 2.642 million viewers as the ratings champ the previous week.)

Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. won the Friday slot with 1.469 million viewers. (CTV Evening News was on top the previous week with 1.494 million viewers.)

Saturday: Hockey Night in Canada Game #1 on CBC at 7 p.m. scored again just weeks before the playoffs, netting 2.298 million viewers. (HNIC had 1.694 million viewers as the most-watched program the previous week.)

Sunday: Amazing Race 16 on CTV at 8 p.m. held on to the top spot with 2.294 million viewers. (The show also won Sunday prime time the previous week with 2.081 million viewers.)
