Survivor still kicking on the top

American Idol is in second place on Tuesday night, trumping Glee by about half a million viewers.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for April 19 to April 25, 2010.

Monday: House on Global at 8 p.m. is back on top with 1.938 million viewers, ousting CTV’s Big Bang Theory, which had 2.492 million viewers the previous week.

Tuesday: Global’s Glee is quickly picking up steam in the ratings, but American Idol on CTV at 8 p.m. still comes out on top with 2.512 million viewers as the second most-watched program of the week. Idol delivered 2.731 million the previous week.

Wednesday: CTV’s Idol results show is still most-watched for the night, although with a drop in ratings from the previous week with 2.024 million tuning in at 8 p.m. The show had 2.780 million viewers the previous week.

Thursday: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains on Global at 8 p.m. continued to thrill as the top program of the week with 2.778 million viewers. This is slightly less than the previous week, when audiences reached 2.939 million.

Friday and Saturday: The NHL playoffs on CBC were most popular among viewers on the weekend with 1.679 million tuning in. The playoffs dominated the ratings the previous week, albeit on TSN for Friday night with 1.785 million viewers and Hockey Night in Canada streaming on CBC to 2.298 million viewers the previous Saturday.

Sunday: The Amazing Race on CTV at 8 p.m. was the top program of the night with 2.180 million viewers. The previous week NHL playoffs on CBC were most-watched with 1.656 million viewers.
