Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for May 10 to May 17, 2010.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: CBC has the Habs to thanks for stellar ratings for the NHL playoffs round two, as Canada’s favourite game attracted 3.247 million viewers on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. It was the top-rated program this week, increasing its audience significantly since last Monday and Tuesday when the playoffs had 2.518 million viewers.
The game also beat out the American Idol results show on CTV on Wednesday night, which was last week’s top program with 2.518 million viewers.
Thursday: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains on Global at 8 p.m. attracted 3.089 million for the much-awaited finale, in second place on the charts for the week. Survivor had 2.864 million Canadians watch the competition show the previous week.
Friday: CTV Evening News at 7 p.m. was most-watched on Friday night with 1.407 million viewers. The previous week, the NHL playoffs aired on a Friday with 2.58 million viewers.
Saturday: CTV National News was the only Saturday night program on the Top 30 BBM charts this week, with 1.138 million viewers, as the top program of the night. This honour also went to the playoffs the previous week.
Sunday: Survivor‘s reunion show won with a total of 2.886 million viewers on Sunday night, beating out round three of the NHL Playoffs. The Amazing Race 16 on CTV at 8 p.m. was the most-watched program the previous week with 2.580 million viewers.
