Canadian Tire pulled out all the radio stops for its summertime advertising campaign, ranking in the top three for brand radio-spend in both the Toronto and Montreal markets, according to the Media Monitors Spot Ten reports, for the week of May 24 to 30, 2010.
The home, recreation and auto products retailer led the Toronto rankings with a 17-point jump to #1, while Porter Airlines slid to #2 from its #1 ranking the week prior. In #3 was FedEx. The biggest move of the week was Canadian Tire, but Home Depot was close behind in its #16 to #22 jump.
Ford Lincoln and Mercury dealers topped the Montreal charts, coming up from no ranking the week prior to #1 last week. Last week’s leader, Hydro Quebec, slid to #2 while Canadian Tire rolled in at #3. Once again, Canadian Tire was the biggest mover of the week.
