Clear Channel adds more Yonge-Dundas OOH

The mediaco will handle sales for static and digital inventory at 10 Dundas St. E. in Toronto as sales agent of record under the building's new ownership.

Clear Channel Outdoor Canada has added the high-profile OOH inventory at 10 Dundas St. E. in Toronto to its sales portfolio.

Announced this week, the mediaco was awarded the exclusive sales rights to the static and digital properties on the building, which recently changed ownership. Previously, ad sales were handled internally by Penex Media, a division of PenEquity Realty Corporation, the previous owner of the building, and US-based Van Wagner, with which Penex held a contract for the static boards. The building is now owned by Missouri-based Entertainment Trust Properties.

The inventory on 10 Dundas St. E. complements Clear Channel’s existing inventory at Yonge-Dundas Square, the Atrium on Bay Media Tower, which sits at the northwest corner of the intersection. Together, the two locations comprise over 40,000 square feet of static and digital advertising space and it is estimated that an average of 120,000 people pass through the square daily.

‘We’re always looking for opportunities for large-scale media,’ Freeman White, VP sales development, Clear Channel Outdoor Canada, tells MiC. ‘This space is a premium space. Dundas Square has become very active, with many activities going on all the time, so it’s probably the best urban space in Canada for advertisers to be.’
