Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for July 5 to July 11, 2010:
Monday: Big Bang Theory blasts back into the top, attracting 1.881 million viewers. Lie To Me on Global was most-watched the previous week with 1.539 million viewers.
Tuesday, Wednesday: The FIFA World Cup games on CBC at 2:15 p.m. that put the Netherlands and Spain in the finals were watched by 2.254 million fans. America’s Got Talent on Citytv at 9 p.m. was most popular the previous Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with 1.394 million and 1.451 million viewers, respectively.
Thursday: Big Brother 12 is back on Global at 8 p.m. and it ousted Canadian darling Rookie Blue with 2.064 million viewers. Rookie, airing on Global at 9 p.m., came in a close second with 1.753 million viewers – gaining fans from the previous week when it was the most-watched show of the night with 1.394 million.
Friday: CTV Evening News takes back the top spot from FIFA with 1.405 million viewers. The World Cup matches on CBC attracted the biggest audience the previous week with 1.892 million viewers.
Saturday: The third and fourth place match between Germany and Uruguay at the FIFA World Cup on Saturday was most-watched with 1.894 million viewers. The games had 1.892 million tuning in the previous Saturday.
Sunday: Spain’s win over the Netherlands at the FIFA World Cup final was seen by 5.131 million people in Canada. It drew the highest ratings of the week, ousting CTV National News, which had 1.202 million viewers the previous week.
