As the third season of So You Think You Can Dance Canada nears an October climax, CTV has ordered a fourth cycle.
CTV said fourth-season auditions will start Nov. 6 in New Brunswick before dancing their way westwards with another four city stops.
The latest episode of SYTYCDC on Wednesday night at 1.1 million total viewers was up 6% from last week’s audience of 1.05 million.
And the reality TV show is hitting with all demos for CTV, with the key 18-to-34 audience for this past Wednesday night’s performance episode up 9% to 251,000 viewers from a week-earlier 230,000 viewers.
The Thursday night results shows at 8:30 p.m. will continue to follow CBS’s Big Bang Theory for another month on CTV before SYTYCDC wraps and is replaced by the William Shatner-starring sitcom $#*! My Dad Says shifting from A.
The success of the Canadian dance competition series follows CBC similarly finding success with non-verbal reality TV programming with Battle of the Blades, an ice dancing competition series.
