Toronto-based Media Resources International (MRI) announced Tuesday that is has acquired Burlington, ON-based Hamilton Digital Designs (HDD).

MRI, formerly The Grant Sign Group, manufactures, produces and services indoor and outdoor advertising for international markets, while HDD specializes in electronic scoreboards and signage. The acquisition will provide MRI a new line of products while allowing it to offer LED signs to its international customers, MRI partner Steve Gallow said in a release.

‘HDD is a very successful company providing custom engineering, design and manufacturing plus complete software design and execution. We feel confident that by joining forces we will be able to offer superior outdoor advertising products for the global market.’

HDD owner Jim Mitchell will remain with the company as part of the MRI management team, and MRI partner Bill Mullen will head LED display sales and management, the release states.
