Following the news that a broadcast deal for the series has been secured in the US, Shaw Media announced this week that mini-series The Kennedys will air here on History Television this April.

The series will air in four two-hour parts on the specialty channel starting April 10 at 9 p.m. ET. Uncertainty has surrounded the series since early January when it was announced that A&E’s History channel in the US cancelled its plans to air the series. This week, however, series producer Muse Entertainment announced that it had brokered the sale of the series stateside to ReelzChannel.

The series stars Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine) as JFK, Katie Holmes (Batman Begins) as Jackie O. and Barry Pepper (True Grit) as Bobby Kennedy. It was shot in Toronto in 2010.
