Numeris overview: New PPM ratings

Bray and Partners president David Bray breaks down which radio stations are on top in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

Christmas comes early today as we get the latest radio ratings. The new PPM release from Numeris completes the thirteen week period covering August 31st to November 29th, 2015. Let’s take a look the five PPM markets to find out who got what they wanted and who got a lump of coal.

Toronto: Bragging rights at the top of the ratings heap go to CHFI-FM with a 10.1% share of hours tuned for A12+ (up from 9.8% in the last 13-week book). CHUM-FM takes the #1 spot with the ladies 25 to 54, delivering a 16.4% share (down from 17.9), followed by CHFI-FM with 14.3% (up from 14.2%). BOOM-FM holds the #1 spot for males 25 to 54, posting a 10.8% share (down from 12.9%), followed by Q107 at 8.5% (down from 11.7%). Virgin 99.9 leads the way for men 18 to 34 with an 11.0% share (up from 10.1%) followed by the Edge at 10.5%. For women 18 to 34, CHUM-FM tops the list posting an 18.5% (down from 19.6%).

Vancouver: 103.5 QM-FM grabs the #1 spot for A12+ with a 14.1% share of hours tuned (up from 11.7% last time out). Taking the top spot for women 25 to 54 was QM-FM, posting an 18.4% share (up from 14.9% last time out). QM-FM also holds the lead for male 25 to 54 listeners, delivering an 11.2% share (up from 8.3%), followed by the Beat at 10.5% and the FOX at 9.8%. The FOX is out in front for men 18 to 34 with a 17.7% share of hours tuned (down from 18.2%). When it comes to females 18 to 34, QM-FM takes top spot with 14.2% share, followed by Z95.3 with a 14.1% share.

Edmonton: 102.3 NOW Radio rules the roost for A12+ posting a 10.7% share of hours tuned (down from 12.1%). NOW! Radio takes top spot for women 25 to 54, delivering a 19.2% share (up from 10.1%). NOW! also tops the list for men 25 to 54 with an 11.3% share (down from 15.9%). For men 18 to 34, Sonic posted a 12.3%. For women 18 to 34 NOW! delivered a 19.1% (down from 23.2%).

Calgary: Country105 leads the way for A12+ with a 10.1% (down from 10.9%), followed closely by XL103 with a 9.7% share (down from 10.8%). Women 25 to 54 chose 98.5 Virgin, delivering an 11.5% share (up from 10.0%), followed by XL103 at 11.4 and Country 105 at 11.3%. For men 25 to 54, Q107 is #1 with a 10.2% (down from 9.1%). Country 105 takes top spot for men 18 to 34 delivering a 15.6% share (up from 14.7%). Virgin is #1 for women 18 to 34, posting a 16.8% share.

Montreal: CHMP-FM 105.7 is #1 for A12+ with a 17.3% share (up from 15.0%). CFGL-FM 105.7 Rythme FM is tops with the ladies, taking #1 spot for women 25 to 54 and delivering an 18.1% share (down from 20.1 %). For men 25 to 54, CHMP 98.5FM is on top at 15.6% share (up from 13.5%). CHMP-FM is #1 for men 18 to 34 with a 13.3% share.
