Rookie Blue beats down Big Brother

In its 12th season, last week's champ Big Brother is now behind Global's new Canadian show in the weekly ratings.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for July 19 to July 25, 2010:

Monday: Hot in Cleveland on CTV at 8 p.m. ousts Big Bang Theory as the top program of the night with 1.646 million viewers. Big Bang had 1.616 million viewers the previous week.

Tuesday: America’s Got Talent on Citytv at 9 p.m. is again the most-watched program of the night with 1.340 million viewers. The reality show had more fans – 1.582 million – tune in the previous week.

Wednesday: Global’s Big Brother 12 is still the top program of the night and the second-highest rated show of the week with 1.775 million viewers. The reality show had 1.644 million viewers the previous week.

Thursday: After a few weeks of trailing just behind Big Brother 12 in the ratings, Global’s new series Rookie Blue becomes the most-watched show of the week with 1.805 million viewers. Big Brother 12 attracted an audience of 1.736 million fans the previous week.

Friday: CTV Evening News holds on as the Friday night champion with 1.458 million viewers. It had 1.446 million viewers the previous week.

Saturday: CTV National News at 11 p.m. was most-watched with 1.172 million viewers. The news program was most-popular the previous weekend as well with 1.235 million viewers.

Sunday: Big Brother 12 dropped slightly in the ratings for the broadcast at the end of the week, but it’s still in third place with 1.766 million tuning in. The show had 1.869 million viewers the previous week.
