Toronto-based KB Media announced this week that it has named former Zoom Media president Andy Querin as its new COO.
KB Media is an OOH company specializing in restroom-based mirror advertising products. It was launched last February by former Publicis exec Jim Kirby and sports marketer David Brisson.
Querin is a veteran of the media biz, having held roles with Zoom that included president, VP sales and marketing, and managing director. Prior to that, he was national revenue manager at CBC English Television.
Alongside the Querin announcement, KB Media also announced the completion of an investment in a network-wide upgrade of its mirrored advertising products. KB Media’s mirrors change from a regular washroom mirror when in use to a still or motion ad when the user steps away. The impression-counting and ad-serving sensors have been upgraded with new technology, and new glass and chrome frames have also been installed.
KB Media’s nationwide network includes 3,000 ad faces, up 600% from the company’s launch. New faces in the network include Ontario Place, Powerade Centre, The Ballroom, Wayne Gretzky’s, Copps Coliseum, The Cellar and Section 3 Bar.
