After giving the financial smackdown to couples on Til Debt Do Us Part for the past few years, Slice channel star Gail Vaz-Oxlade is tackling a whole new set of problems with a new show, Princess.
Premiering Tues., Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. ET, Princess (13 x 60) will profile Vaz-Oxlade’s attempts to reform shopaholics (ranging in age from 18 to 40) whose spending is affecting the lives of those around them.
The demo for the show, like Til Debt, is 25 to 54, with a bull’s-eye of 30-something women, but the network is hoping the broad approach to the show, which will focus on family and friends as well as the women being profiled, will expand its appeal.
Til Debt is a consistently top-ranked show for the channel, Vanessa Case, VP content, Slice, said in a release, and Princess is designed to build upon Vaz-Oxlade’s existing fan base.
Princess will be promoted on-air with 30-second promos closer to launch, created internally by Canwest. It will also be promoted through the Slice social media channels and on Slice.ca, where a section will be created for people to access Princess-related content, such as finance articles, quizzes, web exclusive video and full episodes. New content will be uploaded to complement each episode.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for broadcast and online, including sponsorship of the show’s section on Slice.ca, pre-roll on streaming episodes and sponsored content such as articles and quizzes.
