Global’s Bomb Girls has premiered with a bang, earning 1.4 million viewers (2+, national) for its debut Wednesday night.
The six-part series aired at 8 p.m., winning its timeslot nationally and earning 455,400 viewers in the 18-to-49 demographic (according to BBM Canada data, provided by Shaw Media).
The one-hour drama, starring Meg Tilly and set in 1940s Toronto, follows five women working in a Canadian munitions factory during the Second World War.
Shaw also officially unveiled the show’s companion website, which includes interactive elements such as a wall to post messages to those who served Canada in WWII and a host of behind-the-scenes and bonus content.
