They’ve given Canadians the straight goods on everything from socks to hair straighteners, and now The Shopping Bags‘ Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic are back this fall with a new show focusing exclusively on style and beauty.
Anna & Kristina’s Beauty Call is a new, half-hour show co-produced by W Network and the duo’s production company, Worldwide Bag Media. The show follows Wallner and Matisic as they make over a new person every week on a $500 budget. The catch is that the makeover must impress an A-list panel of judges that will include Kim Newport-Mimran of Pink Tartan and Brian Hill, president and CEO of Aritzia.
Targeting the 25-to-54 demographic, the show is slated for 26 episodes, the first of which will air Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. Dare brand Vinta is on board as the web sponsor of the series, which also has a page on the W Network site. The show is open to brand integration opportunities but none are planned as of yet, a network spokesperson told MiC.
Promotion for the series will be done online and on air through W Network with five-, 15- and 30-second promos and lower thirds, and via the W Network homepage. Media planning was done by Toronto’s Zig and executed through New York’s Active Media.
