Here are the national champs (for all persons 2+; all times ET) according to BBM/Nielsen for March 30 – April 5, 2009:
Monday: House on Global at 8 pm attracted the largest audience for the night and second-highest for the week with 2.308 million viewers. (CSI Miami on CTV was the most-watched program the previous week with 1.806 million viewers.)
Tuesday: American Idol returns to its regular night on CTV at 8 pm, winning over 2.087 million viewers. (The Mentalist on CTV was the highest-rated program the previous week with 1.722 million viewers.)
Wednesday: American Idol results show on CTV at 9 pm had an audience of 1.968 million. (American Idol performance show was on a special night the previous week, with contestants singing to 2.102 million viewers.)
Thursday: After 14 years the final episode of ER aired on CTV at 9 pm, and it was the highest-rated program of the week with 2.768 million viewers. (Grey’s Anatomy on CTV was the most popular show the previous week with an audience of 2.375 million.)
Friday: Flashpoint is back as the most-watched program of the night with 1.346 million viewers on CTV at 9 pm. (It ousted long-time champ CTV Evening News, which had the largest share of the audience with 1.292 million viewers.)
Saturday: Hockey Night in Canada on CBC at 7 pm was watched by 1.209 million hockey fans. (The show was also highest-rated the previous week, but with 1.274 viewers.)
Sunday: The Mentalist on CTV at 10 pm topped the ratings for the night with 1.418 million viewers. (The Amazing Race on CTV was most watched the previous week with 1.876 million viewers.)
