TIFF Note: Spot the InterContinental’s spotted eco-cab

The posh Yorkville hotel is set to offer its guests exclusive service in a leopard-like eco-cab during this year's Toronto International Film Festival, which kicked off yesterday.

The InterContinental Toronto hotel is marking the 33rd Toronto International Film Festival, which got underway yesterday, by getting eco-friendly with an eco-cab.

Located in swank Yorkville – always a celebrity hot spot during TIFF – the InterContinental will be the only hotel to offer an environmentally friendly eco-cab to its guests for free. ‘This allows us to offer our guests a stylish and energy-efficient means of transportation and demonstrates our commitment to green initiatives,’ explains Pascal Forotti, GM, InterContinental Toronto Yorkville.

The eco-cab will be specially tailored for the hotel with a leopard-print wrap so that guests can ‘be spotted in style’ as they travel through Toronto’s downtown core.

Stationed outside the hotel, the eco-cab will be available to guests by reservation until early October and will rely on various TIFF product showcase events hosted by the InterContinental, like the Tastemakers Lounge, to draw the attention of celebrities and guests to the service.
