Financial Post invests in new app

IBM is the exclusive advertising partner as Postmedia continues its iPad expansion strategy.

Postmedia wasnt kidding when it said digital would be a priority for the company under its new guise – today marks the 12th new iPad app in the last two months.

The latest pub to make the digital move is the Financial Post, with the debut of the new Financial Post Magazine App today.

IBM is the exclusive advertising partner for the launch. The brand, promoting its Smarter Planet initiative and it is the only advertiser to appear in the first three issues of the digital pub (the corresponding print issues contain the normal run of advertisers).

Ad opportunities on the app include story-flow ad interstitials and dynamic multimedia executions, both of which are offered as customizable packages for advertisers.

The Financial Post Magazine App will be promoted alongside Postmedias other apps – the National Post Reader App and 10 major-market daily newspaper apps – with an in-house created campaign across Postmedias print and online properties.
