New series for Canwest’s Showcase this fall include Cock’d Gunns on Fridays at 9 pm beginning September 5. The show features the brothers Van Gunn (Reggie and Dick), who aim to have the biggest band in the world but lack a work ethic, talent, legions of fans and a record deal. Episodes will also be available online.
Seasons three and four of My Name Is Earl, starring Jason Lee (pictured) and Jaime Pressly, will air Mondays from 10-11 pm beginning Sept. 8.

Debra Messing (Will & Grace) will return to the small screen in a stylish new series called The Starter Wife, which will make its Canadian debut on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 10 pm. Emmy award-winner Messing portrays the wife of a movie studio exec who discovers a world of exciting but frightening possibilities after she’s abandoned by the Hollywood community that once adored her.
Powerhouse hit House returns on Sept. 2. The show will air reruns of seasons three and four Tuesdays through Thursdays at 11 pm. It stars Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Hugh Laurie as a grumpy but brilliant diagnostician.
