Fido hooked Pride-goers up with Fergie

Motorola and Fido took technology to the streets during Toronto's annual gay pride festival last weekend - inviting celebrants to seemingly dance in music videos with pop star Fergie.

Last weekend, Motorola and Fido celebrated this year’s Pride Toronto festival by bringing high-tech digital imaging to Fergie fans.

At a booth on the parade route, festival attendees were encouraged to dance in front of a green screen while a camera captured their performance. The 750 ‘dancers’ who accepted the offer could then view their moves morphed into Fergie’s music videos on their mobile phones. Fido customers were sent images of their performances via Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), while others were sent the images via email. The best videos are featured on the Motorola Pride website.
