The NYC-HQ’d Interactive Advertising Bureau has released what it terms ‘a milestone document’ entitled Digital Video Advertising Overview to help marketers and agencies maximize their understanding and use of digital video advertising.
The data will be discussed by a variety of experts at IAB’s Digital Video Seminar in NYC on Feb. 13. The aim of the event is to offer marketers and agencies a hands-on opportunity to learn how best to implement digital video in their existing marketing programs.
What the IAB terms ‘a milestone document’ includes an informative primer on digital video’s metrics, technologies and products as well as an overview of the constituents of the video advertising ecosystem. This section is described as a look at the current state and challenges of the business of video advertising, an explanation of in-stream and in-banner video and an appendix of definitions and nomenclature commonly used in the platform.
IAB’s new report is the first in a series of white papers on digital video, and the second in the series of platform-status reports issued by the organization in an ongoing effort to educate the marketplace on the latest innovations in interactive advertising.
