ABC has picked up Pushing Daisies for a full season, extending the life of the back-from-the-dead series to 22 episodes. The Tuesday-night series airs in Canada at 8 pm on CTV, a full day ahead of its slot on ABC. Daisies is also available on the CTV Broadband Network at ctv.ca and, following a deal sealed earlier this month, on Rogers VOD.
Daisies had a strong start in Canada, according to BBM/Nielsen. For its Oct. 2 premiere, it hit number 27 on the chart with 952,000 (2+) viewers, up against Global’s NCIS and CBC’s Rick Mercer Report. It fell to 30th the following week with 896,000 viewers.
