CTV has picked up the one-hour legal drama pilot Stay With Me from Sarrazin Couture Entertainment, which portrays a 30-something mother returning after personal trials to work as a lawyer in a Toronto firm.
And Ilana Frank of Thump Inc., who brought CTV The Eleventh Hour before delivering Rookie Blue to rival Global Television, is behind the one-hour pilot Saving Hope, which follows the private and professional trials of doctors and staff in a Toronto hospital.
Both pilots will be shot in Toronto in spring 2011.
The broadcaster also ordered the one-hour drama series Highland Gardens from Epitome Pictures that covers familiar territory for the Degrassi franchise producer: young Canadians looking to make it in Hollywood. The six-part one-hour drama about six young Canadians chasing their dream in Hollywood will run on MuchMusic and be show-run and executive produced by Martin Gero (Young People Fucking).
