The guilty pleasures net is unveiling Superstar Hair Challenge on Monday, July 9 at 10 ET/PT – its regular time slot. The Canadian-made seven-ep series follows 10 stylists competing for the title under the direction of host Karen Bertlesen and famed hairstylists Mark Anthony and Robert Gage. Two hair-based challenges per episode pare down the list of contestants, elimination-style, until the winner walks away with the title. Contestants were chosen from Orillia, Ontario, Halifax, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, and Newfoundland. Suave is the official sponsor of Superstar Hair Challenge, with exposure in-show and on-air. The winner also receives hair care and styling products from Suave as part of the prize package.
The Celebrity Paranormal Project gathers groups of actors, musicians, athletes and comedians together only to ditch them all in haunted locations – premiering Wednesday, July 4 in the 10 pm ET/PT time slot. The eight-ep series blends horror with high-tech investigation as the celebs check out paranormal activities. The stars are armed with a history of the site, background on the ghosts and handheld cameras to document their experiences. The show originally aired on VH1 in the US last fall.
Each ep features a new team of five celebrities. On the cast are Gary Busey, Hal Sparks, Survivor winners Jenna Morasca and Ethan Zohn, Toccara from America’s Next Top Model, Baywatch‘s Donna D’Errico and Traci Bingham, supermodel Rachel Hunter, comedian Godfrey, Mariel Hemingway, David Carradine, Gilbert Gottfried, workout guru Tony Little, and one of the original Ghostbusters, Ernie Hudson. Chris Knight, Adrianne Curry join forces with fellow 70’s child actor Danny Bonaduce (of The Partridge Family) and his wife Gretchen for a special ‘couples only’ episode.
