Yahoo launches onesearch and Y! Go 2.0

Yahoo Canada officially launched onesearch yesterday, bidding for the lead position in the mobile search market with a focus on giving consumers instant, relevant answers, along with business listings (with ratings and reviews). onesearch now appears at the top of the page when Canadians access Yahoo Mobile Web. The Y! Go 2.0 application allows users to personalize their searches and content.

Yahoo’s service launched with seven key info clusters, and there are more on the way. These currently include news, finance, weather, images, Flickr, web and mobile web. New content feeds will be added over the coming months. onesearch launched in the US in March. The Canadian launch coincided with Yahoo’s move into five European countries with onesearch.
