CTV is planning to unveil Pirate Master, the new reality series from Mark Burnett, on May 31. The net’s premiering the potential blockbuster in the Thursday 8 pm time slot. Australian actor and musician Cameron Daddo (pictured) is hosting the hardy-har-har Caribbean search for a $1 million treasure.
CTV also dropped a strong hint this week about the coming Grey’s Anatomy spin-off. The net was pushing the two-hour special of Grey’s on Thursday, May 3 (at 9 pm ET), which has new episodes of ER and CSI programmed as lead-ins. This two-hour Grey’s ep is the one that’s rumoured to be an unofficial pilot for a spinoff called Private Practice, featuring Kate Walsh’s character Addison, who purportedly will leave Grey’s Anatomy for a new career in LA.
Yesterday, Global announced a Monday 10 pm ET/PT time slot, starting April 23, for the Ashton Kutcher-backed The Real Wedding Crashers. The one-hour reality series follows the mess-with-your-wedding spirit of the similarly named recent flick starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan. But this reality series features five crashers who go undercover as wedding staff and guests to make those special days a little more memorable thanks to priceless pranks.
