Yellow Pages adds AdWords to strategy
Yellow Pages Group is reselling Google's AdWords as part of its local search ad offerings.
Montreal-based Yellow Pages Group has signed a strategic agreement with Google to become the first Canadian reseller of Google AdWords. The deal means YPG can provide its 425,000 advertisers with relevant search advertising, which is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses market online.
Businesses currently advertising on YellowPages.ca or CanadaPlus.ca (a network of seven local city sites) will now have the opportunity to get their display ads placed alongside search results on Google and Google Maps.
YPG VP marketing Jean-Pascal Lion says the company has been a business partner with Google since 2004, and that this ‘renewed relationship’ will strengthen its local search content offerings.
