L’Oreal’s De Celles new ACA chair
She says she's 'looking forward to (helping) ensure that the ACA continues to lead an industry that is in the grip of dramatic and exciting change.'
At its AGM in Toronto yesterday, the Association of Canadian Advertisers named Dominique De Celles, VP/CMO of Montreal-based L’Oréal Canada, as its incoming chair.
‘The ACA’s mission to help its members enhance the performance and return on investment of their marketing efforts – in both conventional and emerging media – is especially critical,’ says De Celles. ‘As the association’s new Chair, I look forward to working with the board and staff to ensure the ACA continues to lead an industry that is in the grip of dramatic and exciting change. This demonstrated leadership becomes even more vital with the ongoing expansion of the digital universe and the ever evolving channels of communication.’
De Celles joined L’Oréal in 1985 as a marketing assistant, then moved from the consumer products division to the luxury products division, where she held the positions of product manager and marketing group manager. In 1992, she returned to the consumer products division as marketing director for the L’Oréal Paris brand. In 1999, she was named VP of marketing for the brand, and in August 2000 she became VP/GM.
