Astral pledges $1 million to MS research

The donation comes in the form of free advertising on television properties, radio stations, outdoor billboards and websites.

Astral Media is contributing more than $1 million in advertising space to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada in an effort to boost the organization’s new ‘endMS’ campaign, which got underway earlier this month.

The donation, announced yesterday, is meant to draw attention to the MS Society’s work in funding research to end the as yet incurable neurological disease. ‘We believe strongly in this campaign and are pleased to play a role in making it successful,’ comments Astral president Ian Greenberg.

The MS Society will utilize Astral properties including its television networks Family Channel and Super Écran, its network of 82 radio stations, outdoor billboards and websites for its campaign – which aims to raise $60 million.
