Nine months after its acquisition of Shaw Media, Corus Entertainment has finalized the look of its original content team.
Led by VP of original content Lisa Godfrey, the women and lifestyle division will see Krista Look overseeing Corus’ portfolio of channels in the role of director, original content. Look was appointed as Shaw Media’s director of lifestyle content in September 2015. Maria Farano takes the role of manager, original content, women and lifestyle, and will be responsible for lifestyle and home-related content. Meanwhile Lynne Carter will also take the role of manager, original content, and be responsible for food-related content.
Production executives on the women and lifestyle team are: Andrea Griffith, Larissa Laycock, Marni Goldman, Debbie Brown, Jenny Tryansky and Brad Clarke.
John MacDonald remains SVP of content for women and lifestyle. Godfrey reports to him.
On the scripted and factual side, director of original content Rachel Nelson will oversee scripted and factual content for History and Global, as well as scripted content for Showcase and W Network. Robin Neinstein, former production executive of original drama content, is now manager, original content, scripted and factual.
Robyn Hutt, who was hired in September 2015 as director of factual, is no longer with the company.
Meanwhile, Craig Baines and Andrew Johnson will both serve as production executive, original content, factual, while Susan Alexander serves as production exec on the scripted side.
The Corus Kids side of the business will continue to be led by Deirdre Brennan, VP, content, Corus Kids. Brennan’s team includes Michael Strachan, executive producer, as well as Brandon Lane, Todd Brian and Hughes Dufour, who all serve as production executives for Corus Kids. Dominique Dussault is the division’s project manager.
