Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for Feb. 11-17.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm climbed three spots to #5 with an average minute audience of 1.542 million viewers (down from 1.554 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm fell one spot to #16 with 1.159 million (down from 1.238 million). Global National at 5:30 pm stepped up two spots to #24 with 967,000 (down from 999,000), while News Hour hit #27 with 948,000. CTV’s Dr. Phil at 5 pm jumped two spots to #26 with 951,000 (up from 923,000).
Monday: CTV’s Corner Gas at 8 pm won the night, climbing three spots to #7 with 1.476 million (up from 1.41 million), while Welcome to the Captain at 8:30 pm fell two spots to #23 with 968,000 (down from 1.079 million). Global’s Prison Break at 8 pm shot up 10 spots to #9 with 1.441 million (up from 1.139 million). CTV’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles at 9 pm climbed six spots to #18 with 1.111 million (up from 1.043 million) against Global’s House, which hit #29 with 908,000. CTV won 10 pm with CSI: Miami, which fell two spots to #20 with 1.08 million (down from 1.16 million).
Tuesday: CTV’s American Idol, airing 8-10 pm, took #1 with 2.645 million viewers (up from 2.439 million) against Global’s NCIS at 8 pm, which climbed five spots to #25 with 965,000 (up from 911,000), and Big Brother at 9 pm, which made #22 with 991,000 viewers.
Wednesday: CTV’s American Idol at 8 pm took #2 with 2.566 million viewers (down from 2.698 million) against Global’s Big Brother, which was #28 with 938,000. CTV’s Law & Order at 10 pm took #8 with 1.472 million, while The Moment of Truth at 9 pm fell one spot to #10 with 1.326 million (down from 1.508 million).
Thursday: Global’s Survivor: Micronesia at 8 pm fell one spot to #3 but stayed strong with 2.101 million viewers (down from 2.544 million) – with no competition from CTV for that time slot making the chart. CTV’s Lost at 9 pm stayed at #6 with 1.498 million (down from 1.702 million) against Global’s Celebrity Apprentice, which climbed two spots to #15 with 1.191 million (down from 1.203 million).
Friday: CTV’s Celine Dion Special at 9 pm hit #11 with 1.254 million against Global’s Las Vegas, which climbed 10 spots to #19 with 1.085 million (up from 919,000).
Saturday: CTV’s Saturday-Sunday average for weekend news at 6 pm climbed two spots to #12 with 1.247 million (down from 1.269 million). CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Game One, airing 7-10:04 pm, fell three spots to #14 with 1.197 million, while Game Two scored #21 with 1.052 million.
Sunday: Global’s Knight Rider movie, airing 9-11 pm, rode to #4 with 1.678 million viewers. CTV’s Cold Case at 9 pm climbed 10 spots to #13 with 1.233 million (up from 1.044 million), while Dexter at 10 pm was #17 with 1.159 million. Global’s Big Brother at 8 pm took #30 with 906,000 viewers.
