Toronto’s Zebra Street Strategic Marketing has cast itself in the role of corporate yenta, organizing the equivalent of a singles mixer for brand reps in Toronto on Nov. 2. The concept behind BrandMatch 2006 is to provide marketers with an enjoyable opportunity to meet others with whom they just might build a happy life, producing the patter of happy little cross-promotions.
So far, the following brands have said yes to showing up for the free, but by invitation only, event: Sony BMG, Et Tu Salad Kits (Linsey Foods), Puretracks, The Jump Card, Nike, Moose Light (Moosehead Breweries), Pillitteri Estates Winery, NBA Canada, YMCA, Canadian Business, Via Rail Canada, National Car Rental, Vogue Display and Energizer Canada.
Dan Mackenzie, director of marketing at NBA (National Basketball Association) Canada, will be the keynote speaker and the five-hour evening event will feature games, entertainment and activities, live music, roving magicians and the chance to win prizes such as platinum Raptors tickets, Via Rail vouchers, luxury car rentals from National and a tutored wine tasting for 20 people courtesy of Pillitteri Estates.
