MiC’s K.I.S.S. pick – Hershey celebrates Kisses centennial with kissing booths

How logical is this? To hype the big 1-0-0 of its famous chocolates, Hershey Canada is treating Canadians to a spot of smooching in Calgary and Toronto, plus a chance to win some two-carat bling.

To commemorate what it terms ‘100 years of affection,’ during which it churned out some 80 million Kisses chocolates, Toronto-HQ’d Hershey Canada is reviving the venerable shtick of setting up kissing booths. In Toronto, the free kisses and Kisses are one of the attractions at the current Winter City Festival taking place at City Hall until Feb. 4. Calgarians will enjoy the lovin’ and munchin’ from Feb. 17-19.

As well, between Feb. 1 and July 7, all Canadians can get in on the action by entering an online contest. The prize? A necklace adorned with a two-carat diamond – the traditional gemstone for 100th anniversaries.
