Murdoch Mysteries has landed on the Citytv schedule, and will air at 8 pm local time on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, depending on the station. Citytv Calgary and Edmonton will run the Canadian-made crime series on Mondays, starting Jan. 21, while it will run on Tuesdays in Toronto and Vancouver starting Jan. 22 and on Sundays in Winnipeg, staring Jan. 27.
The Victorian-era crime series features an ahead-of-his-time detective who uses science to crack cases in 19th-century Toronto. Peter Outerbridge (ReGenesis) starred in an earlier run of MOWs, but he has been replaced by Yannick Bisson (Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye) for the new (13 x 60) series.
CTV currently has rookie hit Pushing Daisies on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET, while Global has been running NCIS, though neither network has yet committed to a mid-season schedule. The Rick Mercer Report and This Hour Has 22 Minutes air in that slot on CBC.
