Astral to rep Pattison’s Kelowna radio stations

The aim is to offer national radio buyers 'one-stop shopping for a group of diverse formats that collectively cover the demographic spectrum.'

As of Sept. 1, Astral Media Radio Sales will handle sales for two radio stations in Kelowna, BC, owned by the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group.

B103 (CKOV-FM) and Power 104 (CKLZ-FM) join Astral-owned stations 99.9 Sun FM (CHSUFM), 101 SILK FM (CILK+) and AM 1150 (CKFR). The aim of the deal, according to a news release from Astral, is to offer national radio buyers ‘one-stop shopping for a group of diverse formats that collectively cover the demographic spectrum.’

Based on the BBM S1-08 Survey, the five stations in the newest Astral Media Radio Sales group reach more than 120,300 listeners weekly and account for a 73% market share in the Central Market.

The Pattison Broadcast Group is Western Canada’s largest privately owned radio and television group, comprising 28 radio stations and three television stations serving 17 markets in BC and Alberta.
