Harris hooks up with Google TV Ads

A new traffic access service is set to amp up the media management process.

Florida-based Harris Corporation – an IT company – is integrating its media inventory service with Google’s online buying platform, thereby improving the mutual access for time and space sellers and buyers.

‘By integrating our services and expertise, Harris and Google have created a more streamlined process to expand television advertising opportunities, making our customers’ jobs much easier,’ says Tim Thorsteinson, president of Harris Broadcast Communications.

The new media inventory service will provide an automated way for media companies using Harris traffic systems like Paradigm, OSi-Traffic, BMS and Novar to make inventory available to new advertisers through the Google TV Ads platform. Full control over inventory, rates and sellout levels would be maintained by inventory owners throughout the process, and as spots are approved and aired, the service provides campaign status information to both Google TV Ads and inventory owners.
