The Canadian Media Directors’ Council (CMDC) will hold its annual industry conference, 20/20 Vision: Leadership and Inspiration for the Decade, on Mar. 31, 2009 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
‘The event will discuss the leadership opportunities and challenges in 20/20,’ Sunni Boot, one of the co-chairs of the event and CEO of Toronto-based Zenithoptimedia, tells MiC. ‘Who are these leaders, and where will they come from? What do we need to do to build them, and what are the HR skills needed for these leaders?’
The second co-chair of the conference is Hugh Dow, president of Toronto based M2 Universal. The keynote speaker is expected to be Michael I. Roth, chairman and CEO of the Interpublic Group. As well, Javier Sanjuan, president and CEO of L’Oreal Canada, will share his thoughts at the conference.
An agenda highlight is a one-hour session in which 12 young industry leaders air their views on future strategies. Also in the cards are panel discussions on marketing strategies for TV, financial strategies in the new economy and developing talent in the next decade. Last year over 800 people attended the day-long event.
