House takes top spot for the week

Here are the national champs (for all persons 2+; all times ET) according to BBM/Nielsen for Dec. 22-28, 2008.

Monday: Shrek the Halls, an animated TV special on CTV at 8 pm, came out on top with an average minute audience of 1.026 million viewers (replacing CTV’s CSI Miami, which had 1.775 million viewers the previous week).

Tuesday: House on Global at 8 pm is back on top with 1.186 million viewers (it was ousted by CTV’s Without a Trace the previous week, with 1.372 million viewers). Also airing at 8 pm, CBC’s Tuesday evening movie took the second overall spot for the week with 1.099 million viewers.

Wednesday: CTV Evening News was the most watched program at 6 pm, with 1.012 million viewers (replacing Criminal Minds, which had an average minute audience of 2.103 million viewers the previous week).

Thursday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm was the most viewed, with 1.012 million viewers (replacing CTV’s CSI, which had 1.507 million viewers).

Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm remains steady on top with 1.012 million viewers (less than the 1.351 million it had last week).

Saturday: CTV Evening News Weekend Edition had 1.012 million viewers (replacing Game #1 of Hockey Night in Canada on CBC, which was most viewed the previous week with 1.163 million viewers).

Sunday: CTV’s Sunday evening movie at 7 pm remained on top with 1.098 million viewers (slightly less than the 1.313 million it had last week).
